Wanda Irene Fisher, 89, of Watseka passed away on Sunday, November 9, 2025 at Iroquois Resident Home in Watseka. She was born on January 8, 1936 in Milford, a daughter of Charles and Hazel (Laird) Callahan. Wanda married Russell Leroy Fisher on October 11, 1953 in Milford and he preceded her in death on February 20, 2021.
Wanda is survived by one daughter, Joy Lee (Jeff) Fricke of Cortland, Illinois; three granddaughters, Amanda (Levi) Neukirch, Jennifer Lee Fricke, and Susan Nichole (Abe) Duran; and two great-grandchildren, Isabelle and Nathan Neukirch.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by both of her parents; one brother, Bob; and three sisters, Dorothy, Margaret, and Floy Anne.
Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. funeral service on Monday, November 17, 2025 at the First Christian Church in Watseka with Pastor Robert Pettry officiating. Burial will be held that afternoon at 2:00 p.m. at the Sugar Creek Cemetery near Stockland.
Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church in Watseka.
