Wilma M. Walters, 83, of Onarga passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at the Iroquois Resident Home in Watseka. She was born on November 16, 1941 in Tell City, IN, a daughter of Roy Lee and Esther (Harding) Walters. She married Paul Walters on May 18, 1969 in Onarga and he preceded her in death on April 6, 2001. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Leroy; one sister, Donna Kennedy; one daughter, Karry; and two great-grandsons.

 

She is survived by three children, Stacey (Brad) Ward of Onarga, Kevin (Paula) Gray of Gilman and Kelly Schmidt of Rantoul; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

 

Wilma was a member of Life Church in Gilman and had We Do Ceramics Shop in Onarga for several years. She was an avid bowler in her youth and enjoyed crafts and scrapbooking.

 

A private graveside service will be held at a later date at Lyman Cemetery in Roberts.

 

Memorials may be made to Iroquois Memorial Hospice.

 

Arrangements are by the Knapp Funeral Home in Onarga.
