Gertrude “Trudy” Kottke, 75, of Alexandria, IN and formerly of Papineau, passed away on Friday, August 22, 2025 at her home in Alexandria. She was born on September 11, 1949, the daughter of Eugene and Betty (Hanes) Watts. She married Ronald F. Kottke in Watseka on January 16, 1986 and he preceded her in passing on May 31, 2016.
She is survived by her daughters, Teresa Keefer of Alexandria, IN and Tonia Kottke of Watseka; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Ron, she was also preceded in passing by her parents; one brother, Tom Watts; one sister, Sandy Guynn; and a son, Brian Richardson.
Trudy enjoyed riding motorcycles, gambling and scratch-off tickets, and loved her dogs. She always enjoyed sitting around the campfire with her family.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at Baier Funeral Home in Watseka. Joe Hughes will officiate. Burial will follow at Papineau Cemetery.
Visitation will be two hours prior to the funeral on Wednesday at the funeral home, from 12:00-2:00 pm.
