Dennis “Dennie” M. Alberts, 73, of Watseka passed away on Monday, May 19, 2025 at Iroquois Memorial Hospital in Watseka. He was born on December 10, 1951 in Lafayette, Indiana, a son of Marvin and Barbara (Moehring) Alberts and they preceded him in death along with one step-daughter, Jennifer.
Dennie married Barbara Becker on January 8, 2022 in Woodland.
Dennie is survived by his wife, Barbara Alberts of Watseka; two children, Shelli (Jeff) Stine of West Chester, Ohio and Chris Alberts of Monticello, Indiana; two step-children, Jon (Angie) Schriner of Kentland and Jessica Schriner of Columbus, Ohio; two children-in-love, Drew (Melissa) Becker of Sartell, Minnesota and Brooke (Jack) Derby of Wabash, Indiana; twelve grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one brother, Tom (Sheryl) Alberts of Richmond, Indiana; and two sisters, Arnetta (Dave) Berenda of Remington, Indiana and Suzy (Paul) Bauer of Warren, Michigan.
Dennie was a member of Cornerstone Church in Woodland. He loved hunting and enjoyed working where he was always trying to help people out.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the 10:00 a.m. Celebration of Life on Friday, May 23, 2025 at Cornerstone Church in Woodland with Pastor Jerry Parker officiating. Burial will follow in the Sheldon Cemetery in Sheldon.
Memorials may be made to the Cornerstone Church in Woodland or to the American Heart Association.
