Patricia Carole Lemenager, 86, of Ashkum passed away on Monday, February 24, 2025 at Gilman Healthcare Center. She was born on November 22, 1938 in Kankakee, a daughter of Oscar and Cecile (Surprenant) Beland. Patricia married Duane Lemenager on May 26, 1956 in Ashkum and he preceded her in death on November 4, 2013.

 

She is survived by her six children, Michelle (Lanny) Chouinard, David (Tammi) Lemenager, Craig (Gayle) Lemenager, Pam (late husband, Robert) Henrichs, Kathy (Alan) Bull, Brenda Hupp; four children she adopted, Carla (Nick) Kopp, Clifford Lemenager, Douglas Lemenager, and Holly (Steven Atteberry) Lemenager; 21 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Barbara Burns, and Judy (Chuck) Lauterbach.

 

Patricia is preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Joan, Marilyn, Gloria, and Sharon; and one grandson, Kenny Winterroth.

 

Patricia was a member of Assumption BVM Catholic Church in Ashkum. She held various jobs over the years, such as working at the Ford Garage in Ashkum and Gilman, babysitting, selling Avon, and working at the Farmer’s Table as a hostess. She loved making homemade stamped cards. Patricia was talented with ceramics and jewelry making. She spent many hours doing embroidery and crocheting.

 

Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until the 1:00 p.m. funeral service on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at the Knapp Funeral Home in Clifton. Private burial will be held at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery in L’Erable.

 

Memorials may be given to the St. John’s Lutheran School in Buckley.
