Louis J. Lurgio, 85, of Bourbonnais passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at Ascension St. Mary’s Hospital in Kankakee. He was born on August 05, 1939 in Chicago, the son of James and Janette Lurgio. Lou married Mary Ann Halpin in 1986, and she preceded him in death on February 10, 2003. He was also preceded in death by his parents, his sister Josephine, and his brother

Jimmy.

 

Lou is survived by his two daughters, Carmella (James) Fuscaldo and Terese (Tim) Maurer both of Oak Forest. He is also survived by his six grandchildren, Nicole (Matt), Katie (Liam), Michael (Gwen), Bailey (David), Sean, and Maddie, and six great grandchildren Joe, Mia, Ella, Brian, Angelina, and Amelia.

 

Lou was the owner of Lou’s Route 1 Auction and Mary’s Emporium both in Watseka. He was also a proud veteran of the United States Army.

 

Services will be on March 1, 2025 at St. Edmund in Watseka at 11:00 AM.
