Barbara A. Johnson, 86, of Cissna Park passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2025 at Accolade Healthcare of Paxton Senior Living. She was born on December 4, 1938 in Onarga, a daughter of Homer and Rheta (Austin) Fisher. She married Edgar E. Johnson on August 25, 1963 and he preceded her in death on April 16, 2024.
Barbara is survived by one son, Kevin E. Johnson of Champaign; one daughter, Cindy Johnson; two grandchildren, Logan and Jaime Johnson of Savoy; one sister, Ellen (Don) Schilling of Lebanon; and one brother, Larry (Ann) Fisher of Onarga.
She is preceded by her parents and one son, Scott Johnson.
Barbara was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Cissna Park, where she served as council financial secretary for many years as well as Ladies’ Aide (LWML).
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 23, 2025 at the Knapp Funeral Home in Cissna Park and also one hour prior to the funeral service at the church. Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 24, 2025 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Cissna Park with Rev. Dale Fjordbotten officiating. Burial will follow at the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery near Cissna Park.
Memorials may be given to the Trinity Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.
