Mary Annette Sanor, 63, of Thawville passed away on Sunday, December 8, 2024 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. She was born on June 24, 1961 in Newport, Arkansas, a daughter of Jimmie N. and Lois V. (Koller) Guffey. She married Karl Sanor in Chicago and he preceded her in death. Mary was also preceded in death by both of her parents; one brother, Jimmy Guffey; and two sisters, Gail Abu-Nada and Terri Huddleston.
Mary was survived by two sons, Christopher (Maria) Guffey of Gilman and Matthew (Christina) Vega of Thawville; three daughters, Jamie Tapia of Cherry Valley, Arkansas, Karen (Chuck) Kohler of Ashkum, and Erin (Lawrence) Sutton of Evans, Georgia; three sisters, Patricia (Fidel) Vega of Onarga, Sandra Guffey of Dearborn, Michigan, and Cynthia Guffey of Aurora; great-nephew, Bashum Black; 16 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
Mary loved playing puzzle games and reading. She enjoyed attending concerts, but most of all she valued spending time with her family.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
