Terry L. Mabbitt, 71, of Sheldon passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee. She was born on January 28, 1953 in Watseka, the daughter of Francis and Eleanor (Haynes) Marshall. She married George “Bill” Mabbitt in Sheldon on October 4, 1969.
Surviving is her husband of fifty-five years, Bill Mabbitt of Sheldon; two daughters, Amy McCabe (Curt) of Sheldon and Cathy Mabbitt (Dave) of Watseka; seven grandchildren, Thomas McCabe, Max (Whitney) McCabe, Jack McCabe, and Luke McCabe and Erin McNally, Shayne (Lauren) McNally, and Kyle (Olivia) McNally; seven great-grandchildren, Riley McCabe, Peyton McCabe, Copper McCabe, Gracie McCabe, Emma McCabe, Hunter McCabe, and Charlie McNally.
She was preceded in passing by her parents and one son-in-law, Joseph McCabe.
Terry enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a Sheldon Township Supervisor and worked as a postal clerk for the United States Post Office in Watseka for over thirty years.
Visitation will be from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at Knapp Funeral Home in Watseka. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm with Pastor Aaron Burnett officiating. Burial will follow at Sheldon Cemetery in Sheldon.
