Michelle L. Frye, 54, of Watseka passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at her residence. She was born on June 19, 1970 in Kankakee, a daughter of John and Diane (Mahaffey) Frye. She married Randy Finckbone in August 2021 and he survives in Watseka.
Also surviving are her father, John Frye of Crescent City; four daughters, Haley Ester of Davenport, Iowa, Emily Ester of Tolono, Carley Ester, and Josey Ester of Gilman; and one granddaughter, Oaklynn Baker.
She was preceded in death by her mother and one brother, James Mahaffey.
She loved nothing more than spending quality time with her four daughters and one granddaughter. They would spend hours watching every film directed by John Hughes or Adam Sandler. She loved singing in the car, specifically Miranda Lambert, with all her daughters. She had four cats whom she loved and spoiled like children. She loved to spend time coming up with new recipes to cook. She always had the biggest smile and the kindest heart. Michelle will be dearly missed.
Visitation will be on Monday, December 9, 2024 at the Knapp Funeral Home in Onarga from 11:00 a.m. until the 1:00 p.m. funeral service with Rev. Joel Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Onarga Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to the Humane Society in Champaign.
