Arlene M. Purcell, 91, of Watseka passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at her daughter’s home in Bourbonnais. She was born on March 7, 1933 in Woodworth, a daughter of Albert and Anna (Heuer) Teske. She married Ted E. Purcell on June 3, 1950 in Woodworth and he preceded her in death on February 2, 2016. She was also preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Elmer, Donald and Kenneth Teske.
She is survived by two daughters, Karen Deschand of Bourbonnais and Kathy (Lee) Harter of Cape Coral, FL; one son, Ronald (Gwen) Purcell of Kentland, IN; eight grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; one brother, Marvin (Glenda) Teske of Nashville, TN; and four sisters, Marian Hurliman of Gilbert, Arizona, Ruth Poll of Woodstock, Carol (Sam) Warren of Carlsbad, CA and Elaine (Guy) Clossey of Carlsbad, CA.
Mrs. Purcell was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Watseka. She enjoyed camping with her husband and spending time with her family.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:30 a.m. funeral service on Friday, December 6, 2024 at the Knapp Funeral Home in Watseka. Pastor Aaron Uphoff will officiate. Burial will follow at Body Cemetery near Woodland.
