Osvaldo Mendoza Jr., 25, of Chebanse passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at his residence. He was born on February 13, 1999 in San Jose, California, a son of Osvaldo Mendoza of Mexico and Anabel Bautista of Kankakee and they both survive.

 

He is also survived by six siblings, Jose (Mary) Lamas of Kankakee, Alexander (Vanesa) Lamas of Kankakee, Elizabeth (Daniel) Lamas of Watseka, Adilene (Joseph) Mendoza of Chebanse, Hared Mendoza of Kankakee, and Julianna Bautista of Kankakee; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, niece, and nephews.

 

Osvaldo was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents along with several uncles.

 

Osvaldo loved working at Metra Railroad as a Lead Substation Electrician. He was also a proud member of the IBEW local 134 union. Osvaldo was a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be truly missed.

 

Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the Knapp Funeral Home in Clifton. Burial will immediately follow in the Evergreen Cemetery in Chebanse.

 

Memorials may be given to the family’s wishes.
