James “Jim” Donald Manssen, 66, of Danforth passed away on August 31, 2024 at his residence.

 

Jim was born on January 18, 1958 in Watseka, the son of Donald Robert and Joanne Rovine (Wiltjer) Manssen and they preceded him in death along with his brother-in-law, Greg Rubin; and his nephew, Jonathan David Rubin.

 

He is survived by one sister, Judy Rubin of Danforth; one niece, Kristy Rubin of Danforth; and several cousins.

 

Jim attended Gilman High School and worked at A.O. Smith in Kankakee and Lifetime Doors in Watseka. He enjoyed spending time with his Dad where they fixed up classic cars, listened to old radio shows and watching Old Westerns together. Jim enjoyed Lum and Abner as well as fixing and updating computers.

 

Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 9, 2024 at the Danforth Reformed Church in Danforth. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Donald J. MacDonald III officiating. Burial will be at Danforth Reformed Cemetery in Danforth.

 

Memorials may be made to the family's wishes.
