Lois I. Davis, 92, of Watseka passed away on Monday, August 19, 2024 at Iroquois Memorial Hospital in Watseka. She was born on February 14, 1932 in Iroquois, the daughter of Samuel and Nettie (Shipman) Martin. She married Billy W. Davis in Watseka on April 22, 1955 and he preceded her in passing on August 8, 1992.
Surviving are two daughters, Robin (Mike) Pence of Norfork, AR and Julie (Alex Duge) Davis of Watseka; one son, James (Tammy) Davis of Watseka; twelve grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren, and fourteen great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in passing by her parents; husband, Billy; two brothers; one sister; and one grandson.
Lois was a member of First Christian Church in Watseka. She enjoyed cooking, knitting, listening to music, crossword puzzles, soap operas, Diet Pepsi, and Cheetos. Mrs. Davis loved spending time with her grandchildren, traveling with her family, and going everywhere with her friend, Margo. She loved her puppies, Peanut and Saddie.
Graveside services will be at 1:00 pm on Friday, August 23, 2024 at Sugar Creek Cemetery in Stockland. Visitation will be one hour prior to the graveside, all at the cemetery, from 12:00-1:00 pm. Burial will immediately follow.
Arrangements are being handled by Knapp Funeral Home in Watseka.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or ICARE in Iroquois.
