Donald J. Peters, 72, formerly of Ashkum and Mazatlán, Mexico passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at ARC of Bradley. He was born on April 4, 1952 in Kankakee, a son of Clarence Henry and Margaret Pauline (Hebert) Peters and they preceded him in death along with one brother, Jacob Peters.
He is survived by two daughters, Kendra (Trent) Bruns of Lake Village, Indiana and Kathryn (Ian) Reidy of Lowell, Indiana; one son, Andrew Peters of Bradley; three grandchildren, Haven, Brynn, and Aurora Reidy; six sisters, Joan (Joe) Gravelle, Marie (Ken) Daugphin, Janet (Tom) Power, Florence Peters, Monica Peters (Margo Haber), and Betty (Dale) Peters-Lambert, three brothers, Larry (Sue) Peters, James Peters, and Glenn Peters.
Donald was a member of the NRA. He loved fishing, hunting, and trap shooting. Donald was also a former maintenance at CSL Behring.
Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the 12:00 noon funeral service on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at the Knapp Funeral Home in Clifton. Burial will follow in the Assumption BVM Catholic Cemetery in Ashkum.
