David R. Harvey, 80, of Watseka passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee. He was born on March 2, 1944 in Rensselaer, IN, the son of Donald R. and Mary A. (Dorton) Harvey.
He married Pamila A. Langellier on May 16, 1970 in Watseka and she survives. Also surviving are three sons, Mark (Gerri) Harvey of Milton, PA, Matthew Harvey of Belleville and Nicholas Harvey of Watseka; one granddaughter, Paige Harvey; one brother, Marvin (Vickie) Harvey of Brook, IN; three sisters, Jane Vale of Mount Morenci, IN, Martha Render of Brook, IN and Mary Plunk of Kentucky.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, James Smith.
David was a member of St. Edmund Catholic Church in Watseka. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp. during Vietnam. David was a photographer and enjoyed fishing and traveling with his wife, Pam especially to Holland, MI enjoying the beach.
Visitation will be on Friday, August 9, 2024 from 10-11 am at St. Edmund Catholic Church in Watseka. Memorial mass will be at 11 am at the church with Fr. Michael Powell officiating. Graveside services will be at 1:30 pm on Friday at St Joseph Cemetery in Kentland, IN. Graveside military rites will be conducted by Watseka American Legion.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Edmund Catholic Church.
