Elsie Elaine Meier, 96, of Ashkum passed away on Friday, August 2, 2024 at Prairieview Lutheran Home in Danforth. She was born on March 1, 1928 in Gilman, the daughter of Carl and Mary (Hexamer) Evelsizer. She married Marvin M. Meier on July 11, 1948 in Gilman and he preceded her in death on April 6, 2000. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and three sisters.
She is survived by one son, Mike (Jan) Meier of Ashkum; one daughter, Brenda Grob of Galena, MO; four grandchildren, Chad (Sarah) Grob, Nicole (Doug) Lelm, Troy (Shannon) Meier and Tricia (Chris) Koerner; eleven great-grandchildren, Trevor Meier, Jayce Meier, Derek Meier, Cayla, Cloey and Casyn Koerner, Tyler and Molly Grob, and Mason, Logan and Ethan Lelm; and several nieces and nephews.
Elsie was a member of and very active in the Ashkum United Methodist Church. She loved playing cards, fishing, tending to her flower garden, baking and cooking.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. funeral service on Monday, August 5, 2024 at the Knapp Funeral Home in Clifton. Rev. Vicki Killus will officiate. Burial will follow at the Ashkum Cemetery.
