Edward Walter “Bud” Dill, 79, of Gilman passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at his home. He was born on September 27, 1944 in Kearns, Utah, the son of William L. and Doris (Booi) Dill and they preceded him in death in addition to one sister, Alice Bachman and one daughter, Josephina.

 

He married Mary Wasmer on February 24, 1968 in Gilman and she survives. Also surviving are two nephews, Bryce Bachman of Champaign and Todd Bachman of Onarga.

 

Edward was a member of the Zion United Church of Christ in Gilman and Gilman American Legion Post #499. He served in the U.S. Army from 1965-1968. Bud was a mechanic from 1969-1978 for several dealerships. He also worked for Grays Material and for John Wilken. He was the Superintendent for the City of Gilman Waste and Water Management ERH from 1982-2020.

 

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

 

Arrangements are by the Knapp-Redenius Funeral Home in Gilman.
