Shirley K. Taylor, 81, of Martinton passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2024 at her home. She was born on June 2, 1943 in Gary, IN, the daughter of Raymond and Goldie (Milljour) Shepard. She married Charles R. “Chuck” Taylor on June 13, 1959 in Largo, FL and he preceded her in death on January 24, 2011.
Surviving are two daughters, Lisa (Alan) Ulitzsch of Watseka and Brandie Taylor (Brandon Schneider) of Pontiac; special friend, Bill Steele of Watseka; one brother, Kenneth Milljour of Florida; one sister, Donna Sue Jones of Florida; eight grandchildren, Robbie, Dustyn, Alex, Brandon, Brechter, Cullen, Camedyn, and Kaysen; two great grandchildren, Tucker and Tauren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in passing by her parents; husband, Chuck; one daughter, Brenda Taylor; one sister, Charity Mowrey; and one brother, Ted Shepard.
Shirley’s life was based around her family, as a devoted mother and grandmother. She loved sweets, country music, and dancing. Shirley enjoyed traveling to Florida to visit her family and loved her special Chihuahua, Baby.
Funeral services will be at 12:00 pm on Monday, July 1, 2024 at Baier Funeral Home in Watseka. Burial will follow in Ashkum Cemetery in Ashkum.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am until 12:00 noon on Monday, July 1, 2024 at Baier Funeral Home in Watseka.
