Lois Parrish, 94, of Watseka passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at Arcadia Care of Clifton.
Lois was born on December 18, 1929 in St. Anne, the daughter of George and Klazina (Vrolyk) Mulder and they preceded her in death. She married Lloyd Parrish on May 6, 1949 in St. Anne and he preceded her in death on May 20, 2005. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Gerald, George, Laverne, and Elwynne.
She is survived by four sons, Virgil (Janet) Parrish of Missouri, Roy (Sandra) Parrish of Texas, Rodney Parrish of Chatsworth, and Keith (Donna O'Shaughnessy) Parrish of Saunemin; three daughters, Jeanne (George) Nichols of Beaverville, Carol (Antonio) Moran of Momence, and Bonnie Craver of Pontiac; two sisters-in-law, Dianne Mulder of St. Anne and Judy Mulder of Kentucky; twenty-four grandchildren, thirty-five great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
Lois was a member of Centennial Christian Church in Watseka. She was a cook at Gilman Nursing Home for many years. She enjoyed cooking, reading, embroidery, and playing with her great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until the 2:00 p.m. funeral service on Friday, June 7, 2024 at Baier Funeral Home in Watseka. Rev. John Franklin will officiate. Burial will follow at GAR Cemetery in Watseka.
