Helen B. Godby, 77, of Milford passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at Accolade Healthcare of Paxton. She was born on February 21, 1947 in Hayti, MO, the daughter of Roy Wesley and Violet (Reeves) England. She married Mike Godby in Milford on October 22, 1987 and he survives.

 

Also surviving are her daughter, Loretta Matthews of Milford; one son, Ricky Biggs of Sheldon; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one brother, Roger (Becky) England of Woodland; three sisters, Linda (Leonard) Bailey of Woodland, Peggy Deaton of Rossville, and Jennifer England of Watseka.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers, Paul, Jerry, Donald, and Jimmy.

 

Helen was a hard-working mother. She was employed at Howard Industries and later worked at Jeld-Wen Windows and Doors.

 

Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the 12:00 noon funeral service at Knapp Funeral Home in Milford on Tuesday, May 14, 2024. Rev. Brent Zastrow will officiate. Burial will follow at Rossville Cemetery.
