Judith I. Bleich Harvick, 88, of Hot Springs Village, AR and formerly of Gilman

Judith I. Bleich Harvick, 88, of Hot Springs Village, AR and formerly of Gilman passed away on Saturday, March 23,2024 at her daughter's residence.

 

Judy was born on May 24, 1935 in Roberts the daughter of Herman and Margaret (Legan) Uebele and they preceded her in death. She married Donald Bleich in 1953 in Roberts and later married George D. Harvick on June 17,1978 in Danforth. He preceded her in death on December 7, 2021. She was also preceded in death by one step-son, Mark Harvick, one son-in-law Tom Houser and one sister-in-law, Linda Uebele.

 

She is survived by 7 children, Terri (Paul) Kingery and Juli Bleich Curtis of Hot Springs Village, AR, Damon Bleich of Bradley, David (Suzy) Harvick of Santa Rosa Beach, FL, Jim Harvick of Panama City Beach, FL, Traci Houser of Gilman, Jody Harvick of Kentland, IN, daughter-in-law Jean Harvick of Crescent City and one brother, Dennis Uebele of Mahomet. "Granny" is also survived by 20 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

 

Judy graduated in 1953 from Roberts-Thawville High School and worked several jobs including General Foods and Prarieview Lutheran Home.She was a member of the Danforth Reformed Church where she considered everyone a dear friend. She was active in the Altruist Circle, sang with the Praise Team and enjoyed decorating the church for various functions. She was also active in the Gilman Legion Auxiliary serving as secretary, historian and chaplain and delivered Meals on Wheels.

 

Judy was a notorious bargain hunter and loved digging for treasure at garage sales. She and George were also adventurous travelers and avid campers visiting many European countries and all 50 states.

 

Funeral services will be at 11:00 Friday, April 5, 2024 at the Danforth Reformed Church in Danforth with visitation one hour prior to the service. Pastor Don MacDonald III will officiate. Burial will follow at the Danforth Cemetery.

 

The visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at the Knapp-Redenius Funeral Home in Gilman.

 

Memorials may be made to Danforth Reformed Church, Shriners Hospital or Gilman Legion Auxiliary #499.
