Lorna L. Clauss, 83 of Urbana, IL passed away on March 20, 2024 at Greenhouse West at Clark Lindsey in Urbana. She was born on July 9, 1940 in Cissna Park to Joseph and Nettie (Young) Clauss. Survivors include four sisters: Lois Beer of Milford, IN, Erma Wieland of Peoria, Caroline Sever of Bloomington, and Dorothy Holmes of Hoopeston; three sisters-in-law: JoAnn Clauss of Cissna Park, Karen Clauss of Cissna Park, and Gloria Clauss of Loda. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews as well as many great-nieces and nephews. Lorna was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers: Vernon Clauss, Jerry Clauss, and Earl Clauss; and one sister: Betty Feller Zimmerman.

 

Lorna worked many years as an administrative assistant and developed close and lasting relationships with her co-workers. She had a heart for service and in her later years was an active volunteer in a variety of settings. Lorna loved music and flowers and was an avid gardener. She loved children and will be missed by many. Lorna was an active member of the Champaign Apostolic Christian Church.

 

Visitation will be from 9 am to 11 am on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at The Champaign Apostolic Christian Church at 1401 Devonshire Drive, Champaign IL 61821. Funeral services will be immediately following at 11 am at the same location with ministers of the church officiating. Burial will be at 1:15 pm at the Apostolic Christian Cemetery in Cissna Park at 1425 E 400 North Road, Cissna Park, IL 60924.

 

Memorials may be made to the Champaign Apostolic Christian Church.
