Rosalie Hoy, 74, of Crescent City

Rosalie Hoy, 74, of Crescent City passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2024 at her home. She was born on March 23, 1949 in Gibson City, the daughter of James A. and Cynthia (Means) Earl. She married Larry Hoy in Onarga on September 21, 1969 and he survives.

Other survivors include two sons, Larry Warren (Simona Ciarlo) Hoy of Onarga, Eric (Sarah) Hoy of Casey; two brothers, Richard (Judy) Earl of Lincoln, and Robert (Susan) Earl of Clinton; three sisters, Carolyn Butler of Bloomington, Beverly Donner of Taylorville and Suzanne (Bill) Arndt of Mattoon; two grandchildren, Madison (Kyle) Kalagian of Sullivan and Jackson Hoy of Casey; two great-grandchildren, Harper and Juno; brother-in-law, Ronnie (Sally) Hoy of Onarga; and two sisters-in-law, Sandy Hoy of Ridgeville and Barbara Hoy of Onarga; 

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Donald Allen Hoy; four brothers-in-law, Harold Donner, Russell Butler, John Hoy and George Hoy; and one sister-in-law, Gloria Whitt.

Rosalie was an Assistant Librarian at the Onarga Library. She enjoyed word searches and reading.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 23, 2024 at the Knapp Funeral Home in Onarga with Rev. Austin Madewell officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday, February 22, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. also at the funeral home.    Burial will be held at a later date in the Onarga Cemetery.                                                                                                                                                                                         

Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
