Janice Marie Clark, 82, of Gilman

Janice Marie Clark, 82, of Gilman passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 6, 1941 in Watseka, a daughter of Gilbert and Mary (Weakley) Schreiber. Her companion of 45 years, William E. Bigler, preceded her in death on July 29, 2021. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one brother, David Schreiber; one sister, Sharon Adams; one son-in-law, Daniel Gash; and one brother-in-law, Dave Fregeau.

She married Richard Clark on June 25, 1960 and he survives in Redding, California. 

Also surviving are her children, Gary (Lisa) Clark of Bakersfield, California, Teresa Gash of Papineau, and Christine (Paul) Rhodes of Bakersfield, California; one granddaughter, Kristen (Robert) Goble of Danville; one great-granddaughter, Skyelee Goble; one sister, Mary Jane Fregeau of Bradley; and one brother, James Schreiber of Gilman.

Janice was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Gilman, where she served as a member of the CCW Catholic Women and as a Sunday School Teacher. She worked at Armstrong in Kankakee for 26 years. Janice loved to watch NASCAR and enjoyed fishing. She also loved time spent in Gulf Shores, Alabama. Most of all, Janice loved spending time with her family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the 12:00 p.m. funeral mass on Monday, February 12, 2024 all at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Gilman with Fr. Marek Herbut officiating. Burial will follow at the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Gilman.

Memorials may be made to the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Gilman.

Arrangements are by the Knapp-Redenius Funeral Home in Gilman.
