Terry Lee "Big Bird" Doehring, 73, of Watseka passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at his residence. He was born on November 30, 1950 in Kankakee, a son of Elvy and Nellie (DeVries) Doehring and they preceded him in death.

Terry is survived by his son, Brandon Doehring of Watseka; one sister, Connie (Mark) Lemenager of Ashkum; and three nieces, Lacie Liska of California, Lynice VandenBrand of Ashkum, and Libby Lemenager of Florida.

Terry worked for AO Smith Water Heaters in Kankakee. He was also a lifelong car and motorcycle mechanic. Terry served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He was an avid hunter. 

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the 2:00 p.m. memorial service on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at the Knapp-Redenius Funeral Home in Gilman. A Meet and Greet will follow at 3:00 p.m. at The Right Stop in Gilman.
