JoEll L. Lemenager, 48, of Ashkum passed away on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at her residence. She was born on April 12, 1975 in Watseka, a daughter of Larry and Connie (Delhaute) Lemenager.

JoEll is survived by her partner, Patrick Cooksey of Ashkum; daughter, Kyia Lemenager of Bloomington; mother, Connie Lemenager of Martinton; sister, Tonya Lemenager of Chebanse; brother, Brett (Tara) Lemenager of Clifton; nieces and nephew, Leah Lemenager, Jay Lemenager, and Anna Lemenager; her puppies, Dusty and Lucy; aunts, Joye Brown of Martinton and Marla Bereolos of Plano, Texas; several cousins; and her Godfather, Russell Patnaude of Watseka.

She was preceded in death by her father and her puppy, Bella.

JoEll was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in L’Erable. She was an office manager for Cooksey Trucking. She loved her flowers and doing flower arranging, especially for proms, weddings, and dances. JoEll also enjoyed gardening, camping, and boating. She especially loved spending time with her family and always wanted to make everyone happy. JoEll was the hardest worker and a great cook. She had a heart of gold and an infectious smile.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at the Knapp Funeral Home in Clifton. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 also at the Knapp Funeral Home in Clifton with Fr. Michael Powell officiating. Burial will follow in the St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in L’Erable.

Memorials may be made to the Iroquois County Animal Rescue.
