Elias Nicholas “Louie” Kantzioris, 77, of Frankfort and formerly of Watseka passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2023 at Northwestern Medicine Palos Hospital in Palos Heights, IL. He was born on August 31, 1945 in Theologos, Greece, the son of Nicholas and Eleni Kantzioris. He married Cecelia Hernandez-Kantzioris in 1976 in Chicago and she survives.

He is also survived by one daughter, Elena (Jorge) Kantzioris-Bustos of Chicago; three sons, Nick Kantzioris of Frankfort, Chris Kantzioris of Frankfort, and Alex Kantzioris of Frankfort; four grandchildren, Liliana Bustos, Cloey Kantzioris, Melanie Kantzioris, and Sophia Bustos.

Mr. Kantzioris was preceded in passing by his parents; one sister, Athanasia Paraskevopoulos; one niece, Maria Paraskevopoulos; and one granddaughter, Catarina Bustos.

Louie served as a 2nd Lieutenant in Greece’s Hellenic Armed Forces. He immigrated to the United States from Greece in 1965. His love for food and cooking started immediately and followed into several ventures in the restaurant business, most notably VIPS in Watseka. He had a love for family, sports, and traveling. Louie loved meeting new people and putting smiles on their faces. He left a lasting impact on many people along the way, especially with his time in Watseka.

Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 pm on Thursday, June 8, 2023 at Knapp Funeral Home in Watseka.

Private burial will take place at Elmwood Cemetery in Hammond, IN.
