William J. “Lucky” Lucht, 83 of Watseka passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2023 at Wheaton Village.
Lucky was born on July 11, 1939 in Goodwine, the son of Heye and Dorothy (Green) Lucht and they preceded him in death.

He is survived by one brother, Paul (Dawn) Lucht of Franklin, WI; two sisters, Ione (John) Perhay of West Chicago and Mary (Steve) Hauck of Sun Prairie, WI; three nieces, Shelley Lucht, Sara Lucht, and Christy Hauck; his pampered pet, Sugar; and many other friends and relatives.

Lucky was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Watseka as well as volunteered for Iroquois Mental Health Center and Harbor House. He was an avid stamp coin collector, train aficionado, NASCAR fan, and most recently took enjoyment in his hand painted canvases.

Visitation will be on Friday, May 5, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. immediately followed by a funeral service at Baier Funeral Home in Watseka. Pastor Aaron Uphoff will officiate. Burial will follow at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Schwer.
