Martha Hansen, 89, of Chebanse passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2022 at Ascension Saint Mary Hospital in Kankakee. She was born on May 10, 1933 in Martinton, the daughter of Victor and Hortense (LeCocq) Humblet. She married Jack Hansen in Ashkum on December 1, 1956.

Surviving are her husband of sixty-six years, Jack Hansen of Chebanse; four children, Dana (Larry) Voigt of Normal, Jill Hansen of Clifton, Jackie (Bob) Fischer of Bourbonnais, and Jay Hansen of Chebanse; seven grandchildren, Jenna (Dan) Zegleman, Emma Voigt, Kirstin (Tommy) Robertson, Gretchen Fischer, Brittin Fischer, Jayce Hansen, and Megan Hansen; and four great grandchildren.

Mrs. Hansen was preceded in passing by her parents and one brother, Richard Humblet.

Martha enjoyed spending time with all her family and was the world’s best pie maker.

Visitation will be from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. on Thursday December 29, 2022 at Knapp Funeral Home in Clifton. A funeral mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Sts. Mary and Joseph Catholic Church in Chebanse with Fr. Doug Hauber officiating. Burial will follow in Sts. Mary and Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Chebanse.
