Judy Regnier, 78, of Ashkum passed away peacefully on Friday, December 2, 2022 at her home surrounded by family and friends. She was born on April 1, 1944 in Kewanee, IL, the daughter of James and Eleanor (Haver) McWilliam.

Surviving is her daughter, Holly (Jeremy) Dallas of Mahomet, IL. Preceding her in death are her parents, her former husband Gregory Regnier, and their infant daughter, Lesley.

Mrs. Regnier taught elementary school for thirty-nine years in the Central school district. After retiring, she worked at the CCLD and Gilman Danforth libraries. Judy was a dedicated member of Ashkum United Methodist Church where she played the organ. She was known for her cooking and loved volunteering and sharing her talents with the community. Judy was also an animal lover and a great supporter of the arts. Her most cherished role, however, was being a mother.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at Ashkum United Methodist Church. Rev. Daniel Doty and Rev. Mark Crawford will officiate. Burial will follow at Ashkum Cemetery in Ashkum.

Visitation will be from 4:00-6:00 pm on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at Knapp Funeral Home in Clifton as well as one hour prior to the services at church on Wednesday in Ashkum.

Memorials may be made to Central High School (Music and Theater Dept.) or Gayle’s Rescue, an animal shelter.
