Glenn Yates, 65, of Watseka passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at Palm Terrace of Mattoon in Mattoon, IL. He was born on March 20, 1957 in Watseka, the son of Lloyd and Luida (Miller) Yates.

Surviving are one son, Michael (Karla) Yates of Watseka; two grandchildren, Gracie and Andrew Yates of Watseka; two sisters, Shirley (Tom) Zabel of Watseka and Loydene Myers of Marshall; brother in law, Ray Arseneau of Beaverville; two sister in laws, Gayle Yates of Watseka and Janien Yates of Watseka; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Glenn was preceded in passing by his parents; two brothers, Jim Yates and Dan Yates; one sister, Arlene Arseneau; and one son, Justin Yates.

Mr. Yates enjoyed farming.

Funeral services will be at 12:00 noon on Thursday, October 6, 2022 at Knapp Funeral Home in Watseka. Pastor Ryan Mustered will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home from 11:00-12:00.

Burial will take place at a later date at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in L’Erable.
