Robert E. Tincher, 84, of Watseka

Robert E. Tincher, 84, of Watseka passed away on Friday, June 3, 2022 at his son’s house in rural Watseka. He was born on October 2, 1937 in Middleport Township, the son of Frances and Lily (Stephenson) Tincher. He married Mary Baker on September 6, 1957 in Quaker.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Tincher of Watseka; four sons, Robert (Colleen) Tincher, David (Sharon) Tincher, Daniel (Rita) Tincher, and Marvin Tincher, all of Watseka; one brother, Eugene Tincher of Watseka; one sister, Vivian Leiding of Danforth; a sister-in-law, Judith Pollard of Florida; five grandchildren, Michelle Atwood, Nicholas Tincher, Samantha Brassard, Ashley Schill, and Amber Neff; and eleven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in passing by his parents; one brother, Elwin; one brother-in-law, Allen Leiding; one sister-in-law, Mary Tincher; daughter-in-law, Tami Tincher; and two grandsons, Joshua Tincher and Andrew Tincher.

Robert worked as a cement mason for over fifty years and was a member of Local #6 Rockford. He enjoyed working and spending time with his family and grandkids. Robert and Mary were members of Centennial Christian Church in Watseka.

Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 pm on Monday, June 6, 2022 at Baier Funeral Home in Watseka and one hour prior to the funeral service also at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at Baier Funeral Home in Watseka. Joe Hughes will officiate. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Watseka.

Memorials may be made to Centennial Christian Church in Watseka, St. Jude Children’s Hospital, or Ronald McDonald House Charities.
