Calvin Marshall Cotter, 74, of Watseka passed away on Friday, April 8, 2022 at his home.

Calvin was born on December 30, 1947 in Watseka, the son of Lester and Frances (Ratliff) Cotter and they preceded him in death along with one brother, Jerome Cotter; two sisters, Beverly Cotter and Estella McCullough; one son, Larry Cotter; and one grandson, Jordan Cotter.

He married Mary Higgins on September 9, 2000 in Papineau and she survives. Other survivors include five children, Tyson (Danette Bohlmann) Cotter of Watseka, Tammy Dutour of Watseka, Tonette Swartz of Lexington, Gabe (Jennifer) Hartung of Papineau, and Maria Hartung of Bourbonnais; one brother, Lavonne (Liz) Cotter of Onarga; ten grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Calvin loved fishing, driving around, and spending time with his family, especially how proud he was of his grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. funeral service on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at Immanuel’s United Church in Papineau with a luncheon afterwards at the church. Pastor Craig Forwalter will officiate. Burial will follow in Papineau Cemetery.
