Delores I. Marcott, 88, of Sheldon, passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee. She was born on November 24, 1933 in Watseka, the daughter of Ernest and Velma (Crouch) Peters and they preceded her in death. She married Robert E. Marcott in Palmyra, Missouri on February 17, 1951 and he preceded her in death on February 2, 1996.

Delores is survived by her six children, Laura Kerr of Sumner, Vicky (Warren) Fisk of Oelwein, Iowa, Nancy (Gary) Luecke of Sheldon, Janice (David) Miller of Sheldon, Daniel (Kristen) Marcott of Sheldon, and Robbie (Lauren) Marcott of Macomb, Michigan; one brother, Larry (Teresa) Peters of Tampa, Florida; 14 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Scott Marcott; and one son-in-law, Jim Kerr.

Delores was a member of the Sheldon Church of Christ where she taught Sunday School for over 50 years. She loved knitting and playing board games. She was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. Delores was a former chairman of ABRA Human Rights Committee. Delores and her husband were the owners and operators of Sheldon Printing for over 30 years.

Funeral services for Delores will be on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the Sheldon Church of Christ with Dustin Wells officiating. Burial will be held at a later date in the Body Cemetery near Woodland.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Sheldon Church of Christ or ABRA.
