Wilfred “Willie” Cook, 85, of Onarga passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2022 at Iroquois Resident Home in Watseka.

He was born on December 4, 1936 in Watseka, the son of Glenn and Bernice (Myers) Cook and they preceded him in death.

He married Beverly J. McMillan on November 4, 1956 in Gilman and she survives in Onarga. Other survivors include two sons, Clifford (Jennifer) Cook and Todd (Katana) Cook, both of Onarga, and one grandson, Cyrus Cook of Onarga.

Willie was a lifelong farmer in the Onarga area, as well as owning his own trucking business. He enjoyed vacationing in Ft. Myers Beach, FL, attending draft horse shows, and watching his grandson show goats.

A public graveside service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at Onarga Cemetery. Rev. Robert Blumberg will officiate.

Per Willie’s wishes, there will be no public visitation.

Memorials may be made to Iroquois Memorial Hospice or donor’s choice.
