Harold Hettich, 101, of Danforth and formerly of the Goodwine area passed away on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Prairieview Lutheran Home in Danforth.

Harold was born on October 15, 1920 in South Holland, the son of Peter and Rose (Bultmann) Hettich and they preceded him in death along with an infant brother.

He is survived by cousins and friends, Wes and Judy and Mike and Donna.

Harold graduated from Thornton High School in 1938. He ran a farmstand and was the bookkeeper for his fathers three onion set warehouses. Harold later purchased a farm south of Goodwine in 1983 and moved there with his father.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the 2:00 p.m. funeral service on Wednesday February 9, 2022 at Knapp Funeral Home in Cissna Park. Rev. Steven Jensen will officiate. Burial will be held at a later date at Homewood Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Homewood.
