Evelyn M. Smith, 93, of Watseka passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee. She was born on December 6, 1928 in Watseka, the daughter of Walter L. and Anna (Hankey) Shafer.

Surviving are two daughters, Marilyn Wallace of Normal and Carolyn (Tom) Riedel of Rantoul; two sons, Richard L. (Donna) Smith of Watseka and Steven R. (Gena) Smith of St. Augustine, FL; one sister, Catherine (Roy) Feller of Watseka; ten grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and twenty-five great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in passing by her parents and one brother, Warren.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm on Monday, January 17, 2022 at Baier Funeral Home in Watseka. Joe Hughes will officiate. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Watseka.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the 1:00 pm funeral service on Monday, January 17, 2022 at Baier Funeral Home.
