Jack Franklin Lytle, 81, of Kankakee, passed away Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at Ascension Heritage Village in Kankakee.

He was born April 29, 1940, in Kankakee, the son of Frank and Nelda (Mensing) Lytle. He worked 33 years at Armstong and 20 years for the Daily Journal newspaper both located in Kankakee.

Jack is survived by his son, Larry F. Lytle of Clifton; daughter, Patty (James) Longest of Paxton; grandchildren, Matt and Jackie Biggs of Alabama and Mathew F. Lytle of Bradley, Zayne, Holly, Xander and Levi Biggs of Alabama and Hayden Lytle of Bradley, Tanner and Hannah Longest.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Service will be held at a later date.

Cremation rites will be accorded.
