Eleanor "Jean" Taylor, 85

Eleanor “Jean” Taylor, 85, died Friday, September 24, 2021 at Faith Place in Danforth.

She was born March 3, 1936, south of Ambia, IN, the daughter of Parley and Pearl Lowe. Jean married James Taylor in Watseka on August 6, 1955 and he preceded her in death on October 24, 2006.

She is survived by two daughters and two sons, Teresa (Craig) Keith; Jeff (Mandy) Taylor; Tom (Kim) Taylor; and Penny (Darrell) Taylor-Burden, all of Watseka; one brother, Jack (Marilyn) Lowe of Danville; one sister, Sandra Lowe of Watseka; two grandchildren, Brittany (Ben) Norgaard and Cole Taylor, both of Watseka; one great granddaughter, Addison Norgaard; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and one grandson.

Jean was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and attended the Watseka Congregation. She enjoyed raising her family and working at home, along with camping, cooking, cleaning, and helping others.

A memorial service will be held via Zoom meeting on Sunday, October 3. You may begin joining Zoom at 2:15, the picture presentation will begin at 2:30, followed by a memorial talk at 3. Mark Richardson, an elder from the Danville Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses will be the speaker. For information on joining the zoom meeting, please send an email to JeanMemorial21@gmail.com.
