Richard L. Roberge, 93 of Watseka passed away on Friday July 23, 2021 at Carle Hospital in Urbana. He was born on November 21, 1927 in South Hadley, MA a son of Edmund and Ida Dupree Roberge. Dick married Pearl L. Matson in Hoosick Falls, NY on June 28, 1948 and she preceded him in death on January 14, 2020. Survivors include two sons- Gary (Sue) Roberge of Onarga and Mark Roberge of Alva, FL; one sister- Ida Roberge of Troy, NY; one brother- Louis Roberge of Clifton Park, NY; two step grandchildren and five step great grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters. Dick was a member of St. Edmund Catholic Church in Watseka, Watseka American Legion, Iroquois County V.F.W., and Disabled American Veterans. He was a police officer and fireman for the City of Watseka for many years.

Funeral services will be on Thursday July 29, 2021 at 1:00 pm at the Knapp Funeral Home in Watseka with Fr. Mike Powell officiating. Military rites will be conducted by the Watseka American Legion and Iroquois County V.F. W. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery at a later date.
