Obituaries

Peggy Pritchard, 65, of Racine, WI, formerly of the Milford, IL Area

Peggy Lee “Peg” (Kissack) Pritchard, 65, of Racine, WI, formerly of the Milford, IL area, passed away on March 18, 2021 at Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care in Oak Creek, WI.  She was born April 5, 1955, in Watseka, IL, the daughter of Francis “Frank” and Doris (Webster) Kissack. 

 

She is survived by one daughter, Michelle (Jim) Bailey of Hoopeston, IL; three sisters, Laura “Diane” (Roger) Wall of Morris, IL, Carla (Mike) McCabe of Manhattan, IL, and Dawn Kissack of Glen Ellyn, IL; one sister-in-law, Dana Kissack of Milford, IL; one granddaughter, Alexa Rae Bailey of Hoopeston, IL and several nieces and nephews that she spoiled any chance that she got.  She is also survived by two very special nieces and caretakers, Mandy (Boyd) Becker and Stacy (Mike Moriarity) Kincade and their children, all from Wisconsin.   

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Vickie Kissack, Steve Kissack, and Bruce Kissack; and step-parents, Dolores and James Wesley “Wes” Kissack. 

 

Peggy worked many manufacturing and retail jobs in the Milford and Watseka area, until retiring from Walmart 5 years ago.  She was very active at Albert House in Racine, WI where she started a Bingo club, a community garden, and set up a squirrel and bird feeding reservoir.  Her hobbies included gardening, wildlife, and nature.  Peggy was also a very good artist. 

 

The family would like to give a special thanks to Michele Treiber and Heidi Tradewell for taking such good care and being such good friends to Peggy over the course of a few years.  Thank you to the staff at Ascension Hospital in Racine, WI, and Seasons Hospice Care in Oak Creek, WI for all the wonderful care they gave.  Also, a very special thank you to Mary Ann Kincade for all the wonderful love and support over the years, as well as the many friends and family who have reached out offering their prayers, love, and support during this time. 

 

Cremation rites have been accorded.  A visitation will be held 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. Saturday May 8, 2021 at the Milford Christian Church 811 E. Hickory St. Milford, IL.  A memorial service will follow the visitation and will begin at 1:00 P.M. Saturday at the church with Pastor Brent Zastrow officiating.  A private family burial will be held at a later date. 

 

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you plant flowers in Peggy’s memory.
