Michael A. Cichy, 74, of Milford passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2020 at his home in rural Milford. He was born on December 1, 1945 in Chicago, the son of Walter and Felicia (Smolski) Cichy. He married Dorothy Cor in Chicago on December 17, 1981.

Surviving are his wife, Dorothy A. Cichy of Milford; four children, Deanne (Matt) Weir of Oregon, WI, Teri (Paul) Eckberg of Palatine, IL, John R. (Janet) Wallisch of Athens, OH, and Jennifer (Mark) Downs of Chicago; four grandchildren, Daniel Horton of California, Lisa Gonzales of California, John Andrew Wallisch of Ohio, and Sara Wallisch of Ohio; two great grandchildren, Lana and Zander Horton; and two brothers, Bob Cichy of Wisconsin and Steve (Evelina) Cichy of Illinois.

He was preceded in death by both of his parents and one brother, John Cichy.

Mr. Cichy proudly served in the United States Army during Vietnam. He was a lifetime member of the Hoopeston VFW as well as a member of National Dusters, Quads and Searchlights Association. Michael was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and loved attending any kind of sales. He loved fishing and collecting guns, stamps, and coins.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 am on Thursday, February 20, 2020 at Knapp Funeral Home in Milford. A visitation will take place an hour prior at the funeral home from 9:00-10:00 am. A graveside service will be at 1:00 pm at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL.
