Melinda Rae Miller, 37, of Watseka passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2019. She was born on December 2, 1981 in Kankakee, the daughter of Rick and Kathy (Lowery) Ponton.

Surviving are her parents, Rick and Kathy Ponton of Watseka; three daughters, Caitlyn Lease, Brianna Osenga, and Emily Miller, all of Watseka; two sisters, Kari Robbins of Savannah, GA and Stephanie (Michael) Blackwell of Watseka; one nephew, Wyatt Blackwell of Watseka; her maternal grandmother, Sherley Lowery of Fairfield, IL; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, William Lowery; paternal grandparents, Thomas and Opal Ponton; paternal step-grandfather, Ernie Floriant; and brother in law, Paul Robbins.

She enjoyed watching NASCAR, listening to music, and spending time with her family.

Funeral services will be on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at 10:30 am at Knapp Funeral Home in Watseka. Joe Hughes will officiate. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Watseka.

Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 pm on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at Knapp Funeral Home in Watseka.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Family’s Wishes.
