Ronald M. Meyer, 71, of Cissna Park passed away on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at home after a brief stay at the hospital because of heart complications. He was born March 5, 1947, the son of Milton and Marie Meyer and they both preceded him in death.

Ron will be sadly missed by his sisters and brothers, Carolyn (Harvey) Mink, Roger (Rita) Meyer, Robert Meyer, Sherry (John) Wagner, and Pamela (Dean) Rood, nieces, nephews, and dear friends and cousins.

Ron grew up in Rankin, IL and graduated from Rankin High School in 1965. Ron was a graduate of the University of Illinois with a Masters Degree in Mathematics. Ron taught Math, Physics, and Chemistry at the high school in Dwight, IL before returning to farming in Iroquois County. There he served on the Heritage FS Board. He farmed for many years before retiring three years ago.

Visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Monday, July 23, 2018 at Knapp Funeral Home in Cissna Park.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at Knapp Funeral Home in Cissna Park. Burial will follow at Cissna Park Cemetery.
