Nancy R. Allen, 79, of Milford passed away on Monday, May 7, 2018 at her home. She was born May 8th, 1938 in Milford, the daughter of Levi E. and Marie Long Allen.

She is survived by her four sons, Gordon French of Ft. Myers, FL, Dan French of Springfield, IL, Brad Dean (Myriam) of Myrtle Beach, SC and Mark Dean (Natalie) of Sherman, IL; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; her brother, Elmer Allen of Milford; her sister, Opal Long of Milford; and many nieces and nephews.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Joan (Richard) Gossett; and one brother, Charles "Chas" Allen.

Nancy was a devout Christian and beloved mother with a beautiful singing voice and a green thumb. She was a great cook and enjoyed following the activities of her children and grandchildren. She loved to sing and play the piano. Nancy spent over 25 years working for the ARC of Iroquois County.

Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until the 3:00 pm funeral service on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at the Knapp Funeral Home in Milford. Rev. Neil Larimore will officiate. Private burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery in Milford.
