David H. Cluver, 83, of Watseka

David H. Cluver, 83, of Watseka passed away on Friday, April 27, 2018 at Iroquois Resident Home in Watseka.

Dave was born December 20, 1934 in Woodworth, the son of Henry J. and Amanda E. Hopmann Cluver. He married the love of his life, Judy Grice on November 11, 1956 at Ash Grove and she survives.

Besides his wife, Judy Cluver of Watseka, he is survived by one daughter, Jillene (Steve) Bjorklund of Elgin; two sons, Michael (Mary) Cluver of Aurora and Mark (Norma) Cluver of Watseka; five grandchildren, Aaron Cluver, Amy Bruens, Kelly Teal, Katie Cluver, and Kyle Cluver; five great grandchildren, Connor, Sophie, Keller, Trey, and Baby Boy Teal; one sister, Carol Kane of Watseka; two brothers, Bob (Shirley) Cluver of Kankakee and James Cluver of Watseka.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Mary Fletcher.

Mr. Cluver was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Watseka. Dave enjoyed watching the Cubs, flying radio control airplanes, playing fast pitch softball, and was an avid euchre player. He owned and operated McCord Tire Service for forty-nine years.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the 2:00 p.m. funeral service on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at Calvary Lutheran Church in Watseka. Rev. Donald Love will officiate. Burial will follow at Prairie Dell Cemetery in Iroquois.

Memorials may be made to Calvary Lutheran Church in Watseka or Iroquois Memorial Hospice.
