Russell David Carley, 73, of Milford, IL, passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at his home.

He was born June 28, 1944 in Watseka, the son of Allen and Velma (Scheiwe) Carley.

Russell married Verla Edwards on December 31, 1966 in Crescent City, IL at St. Peter's Lutheran Church.

He was a farmer. In his spare time his hobbies included fishing, playing with his grandchildren, golfing, watching the CUBS, remote control airplanes, flying, and attending men's church group.

Surviving Mr. Carley is his wife, Verla Carley of Milford, IL; parents, Allen and Velma Carley of Watseka; daughters, Marci and Roy Gray of Milford, IL, and Beth and Darren Batdorf of Kankakee, IL; brothers, Leon and Janet Carley of South Beloit, WI, and Kenton and Lisa Carley of Milford, IL; sisters, Virginia and Bob Buhr of Milford, IL, and Bonita Rajala of Watseka; grandchildren, Carley and Jake Mitchell, Cade and Abby Batdorf, Colson Carley, and Gage Gray; nieces and nephews, Kirsten and Amy Rajala, Erin and Carey Buhr, Derek and Damon Carley, and Trenton and Clayton Carley.

He is also preceded in passing by son, Scott Carley; and nephew, Jeff Buhr.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 from 4-7pm, at Baier Funeral Home in Watseka.

Funeral Services will take place on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at 11:00 am, at Calvary Lutheran Church in Watseka. A one hour visitation will be held prior to services. Pastor Donald Love will officiate.

Burial will follow at St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery in Crescent City, IL.
