On September 10th, at approximately 9:50 A.M. the Watseka Police were dispatched to the Farmer's State Bank in reference to an armed robbery that had occurred. Police then canvassed the scene and were unable to locate a suspect. The suspect was described as being a white male, 6'1-6'2 with a slender build, wearing a fake beard and wig. The suspect then displayed a silver handgun and fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of money. Anyone having information about the robbery can contact Det Marcott at 815-432-6822. Assisting the Watseka Police Department was the Iroquois County Sheriff's Department, the Illinois State Police and the FBI. This case remains active.
