On August 28th, 2019, Milford Police arrested Courtney McKinney, age 23, of Milford. According to police reports, McKinney was wanted on an outstanding Iroquois County warrant charging her with retail theft- She was transported to the Iroquois County Jail where she remains in lieu of bond.
On August 28th , 2019, Iroquois County Sheriffs Police arrested Richard Gilkerson, age 28, of Milford. According to police reports, Gitkerson was charged with burglajy. He was transported to the Iroquois County Jail where he remains in lieu of bond.
Sheriffs Police investigated a two vehicle accident in Middleport township early Wednesday morning, An east bound Dodge pickup driven by Merced M, Mendoza, 36, of Mission Texas failed to stop at the intersection of 21 OON / 2200E and struck a north bound Ford pickup driven by Matthew G, Manse, (25) of rural Watseka, IL. A motorist who witnessed the crash called 911 to report the incident.
Concord Fire Dept and Riverside EMS also responded to the scene. Both drivers were taken to Iroquois Memorial Hospital by Riverside EMS, Mense was treated and released with only minor injury. Mendoza was air lifted to Carie Hospital of Urbana due to serious injury, where he remains hospitalized. Mendoza was cited for failure to yield at a stop intersection and no valid driver's license.
